A night creating

Had a lovely night last night scrapping with friends at the shop - I love to scrap there where I have more space and everything I need at my fingertips, can get a bit squashy at home!!

So I want to do an 8 1/5 x 11 inch album for each of my daughters, with newborn photos.  Haven't scrapped a lot in this size, but I have to say that it is really growing on me, and I find it easy to get the flow happening in this format.

Here's what I did last night:

As you can see, I have a bit of an addiction to lace at the moment.  A lot healthier than my other addiction (diet coke!!), but I definitely have an addictive personality - when I like something I tend to use it over and over until I eventually get sick of it!!

The photo is my first dauther Alyssa, at 6 days old.  This was taken in the hospital, a couple of days before we brought her home.  I have always loved this photo - the blueish tint in the photo is actually from the lights in the room.  There is a tag that pulls out from behind the photo with some journalling on it.

I set myself a challenge to get two layouts done last night - but I failed!!  I got this one done, from start to finish, which for me is an achievement - I rarely finish a layout in one sitting!!

Looking forward to spending the day with the family doing nothing! Being a public holiday the shop is closed and Jason is home from work, so a lazy family day is in store for us ... love those days :)

Ah another Natalie addicted to DC!! Meeee toooo.... I've been trying to kick it for ages, but *sigh* I haven't had any luck. Love your work of your daughter Alyssa (such a pretty name by the way). I wish I had more hours in the day as I'd love to do some scrapbooking.
