Thought I would share my recent disaster with a bottle of DM ...
You know how the tip gets clogged, well I usually unclog with a pin. But alas, can’t find the pin. So I have this bright idea to use a paper piercer, great idea, that’ll work for sure – only can’t find it. Yep, search everywhere, it’s no where to be seen. Why is it that every time I need to use something, I can't find it?
That’s fine, there has to be other ways. I remain calm, and start squeezing the bottle harder, as if that is going to work. It hasn't worked yet, but maybe this time will be different. No matter how hard I squeeze, no blasted DM is coming out of the bottle. That’s fine, I tell myself. Talking myself through the frustration, trying hard not to lose it. Children starting to get louder in the back ground – but that’s cool. I am calm. Ok, I need a new plan. A pen perhaps? Nope, definitely need something smaller. Oh – what about this strange piece of a broken toy that I have sitting here, that pointy bit of plastic will do the trick. So I poke it in the hole, yep it fits. And then I go to gently pull it back out, but it is stuck. No budging. Hmmm – needs a bit more strength. So I pull harder …
And that’s when it happened …
The entire bloody top of the DM came off, and DM splashes absolutely everwhere, missing my nearly completed layout by millimeters, but managing to get everything else. My mobile phone is the first to be spotted, and I madly clean it whilst telling myself that I can get through this situation without losing the plot. I can do it.
And so I commence the clean up operation, throw out papers that are soaked in DM, clean tools, mop up puddles off my desk. Then I notice that the DM has a puddle starting to ooze along the desk over to my much loved Hambly rub ons. I dive to save them, lifting them up just in time …
And that’s when I find my paper piercer.
LMAO Well I am so pleased that you found your Paper piercer LOL and glad you saved the Hambley!

hahahaha....only you Natalie ;-) In my sewing days I could ALWAYS be found with at least one dressmaking pin pinned in my top. Fine until you go to get undressed in the evening and it scratches the crap out of your face as you pull your top off!!! lol
