Well ... maybe not "bad" blogger ... again, its just a time thing. Not that it takes much time!! To be honest, I don't like to post if I have nothing to share, and lately I just haven't had any new art to share ... so haven't blogged. But I should try to blog more often, I quite enjoy the feeling of putting it out there ... who knows if anyone is reading or looking anyway ...
I have been MEGA busy the past couple of weeks. I decided to take the plunge and put Scraptivate online. It has been almost a year since we opened, and at the time I felt that I would like to put the shop online within a year. How quick has that year gone. So then I decided I would just put the Cuttlebug stuff and the German Scrap up there ... but of course it has gone well beyond that. Hey, if you are going to do it ... may as well go all out, hey? So that's what I have been working on, and since I have no web person doing it for me, its just me and my trusty computer, night after night ... mmm, we are getting to know each other a little too well!!
So scrapping took a back seat. It would be much easier for me if I could do a page in a couple of hours - but I procrastinate, go back and forth, sit and stare for ages. It doesn't come quickly for me. I started this page a couple of weeks ago ... and finally it is ready to share.
This is Alyssa, just before she turned 4 recently, reading books at the library. I am loving this age. This amazing thirst for knowledge - she remembers everything, absorbs everything. She loves looking at books and trying to read the words. She can't actually read, but she knows exactly what is happening in the story. She gets it. I think children of this age understand so much more than we give them credit for. I remember being 4 ... as clear as if it were yesterday. And you have no idea how much this child reminds me of myself. Its almost creepy.
The papers on this layout are from the new Basic Grey range Periphery. I have to say, I think this range is stunning. Periphery and Infuse - Basic Grey absolutely won me over with both those collections. Hook, line and sinker, I'm there.
I could ramble on, but I have to tell you - its 11pm and if I go to bed now it will be the earliest this week!!
Oh ... and one more thing ... Megan named the baby!! It took 3 weeks, but it finally got a name ...
welcome to the world little ANGUS RICHARD BLACK
