A Piece of Sky: Another addiction

Ok - so by now you realise I have a rather extreme personality type. If I like something, I really LIKE it!! Can't get enough.

Like Diet Coke, for example. And Julie's houses.

Yep - there is another one I don't think I have mentioned, and that's American Idol. The current season is showing on Foxtel at the moment and whilst I don't watch a lot of TV, I can't miss an episode of Idol. I am lucky enough to have Foxtel IQ, so every week the episode automatically records for me and I can watch it at my leisure. It's on a Wednesday, and since I work all day on a Wednesday, it's the first thing I do when I get home.

Like last night for example, this is how pathetic it is. I didn't get home from work till 11ish and by that stage I was dead tired and somewhat sick, as I haven't managed to get over this stupid cough/flu thing I have at the moment. I could hardly keep my eyes open and had I been any other normal type of person, I would have walked in the door and gone straight up to bed.

But I am not normal. I did consider going to bed without watching Idol, I mean there is always Thursday right? Yeah - you are right, but I couldn't do it. I couldn't walk up those stairs without sitting down to watch the latest episode, even though by this stage I felt so sick I really just wanted to sleep. But of course I managed to keep my eyes open long enough to watch the brillian David Cook sing his three songs and blow me away. Along with everyone else I reckon. Went to bed a little after midnight feeling sicker, but happier too!!

Now if you are an Idol fan feel free to comment on this post but I do have to say that David Cook is absolutely going to win. I mean he has to? I get that the young guy, David Archuleta, is a good singer - but he isn't star material. He doesn't have ... that thing. You know - THAT thing? Can't explain, but he doesn't have it. And I am getting a bit sick of the whole innocent persona, the whole pretty little good boy thing that he has going on. I am just not really that into him to be honest - but I know many are. And Syesha, I agree she has come along in leaps and bounds and yep, she can sing, dance and looks the part. But I think she is better suited to theatre type stuff, JMO.

So David Cook should win.

... oh I just looked online to see who got voted off and Syesha is going home!! So it is between the two David's ... and Cook's a sure winner!!!
