Scrapware Trees

The theme for the week over on the Scrapware Blog is Trees .... and Scrapware certainly does have a great selection of trees in their array of chipboard goodness!

For this challenge I created an 8" x 8" chipboard album, tiling the front with twinchies and embellishment with chipboard trees. Mmmm, bit happy with the result myself!

Let's etch some metal!

Metal etching is a really cool and fun thing to do ... so that's what we are doing in this Saturday's Tile Class! We will be using Scraptivate's own metal inchies which are available in brass and copper, along with Scrapware's Twinchies, some fabric, some Tim Holtz goodness, the Cuttlebug, paint .... yep sounds yummo hey!

We are going to use the etched inchies to adorn a 5.5" x 5.5" chipboard album cover. In fact we will make both the front and back cover of this little book / album in class and you can decide what goes inside - perhaps you might use it as an art journal, a mini album or a journal. It's up to you!

The class is this Saturday 28th August 9.30am - 12.30pm and Wednesday 1st September 10.30am - 1.30pm. Call Scraptivate on 9444 6626 to book your spot, there are just a few spots left so don't delay!

Sneak Peaks

This coming weekend is Paperific in Melbourne - if you are lucky enough to live in Melbourne than you MUST go along and check out the Scrapware booth! I have been lucky enough to see some of the beautiful new designs Scrapware is releasing at the show ... and trust me, they are FANTASTIC!!!!

I have created a few pieces for display for Scrapware at Paperific .... but I can't show you them because of course many of the items are NEW and will be revealed at the show!!! I can however share some sneak peaks .... shhhhh!!! if you spot something new!

I just can't wait to be able to reveal these pieces in full and share all of the new goodies with you! Scraptivate will have the ENTIRE new range in stock as soon as it starts shipping and very soon Scraptivate will have the ENTIRE SCRAPWARE RANGE available for purchase from our website!

Scrapware Screens

I have been doing so much creating lately so thought I would pop in and share this one with you all ..

I have used the Scrapware Dressing Screens which are (in my opinion!) just gorgeous and I just had to create something with them. All of the other chipboard items are also Scrapware - Buttons, Heart, Flourishes, Bird ..... of course it's all available at Scraptivate along with all of the other product I have used.

The paper I have used is from the Kaiser Le Chateau range. There is also plenty of our German Scrap - I love how beautiful this looks with a touch of paint and JW Dazzle Wax. It's amazing!

I have done another DT piece for Scrapware - an 8x8 Chipboard Album - but not allowed to share that one until next week!

Scrapware DT Project

Well I am terribly excited to be able to reveal my first official Scrapware DT project! Ange asked me to do a technique post on the Scrapware blog and I so I created this little 6x6 Memory Box using a technique with tissue paper that you can read all about over on the Scrapware Blog.
