Oh my goodness, how much do I love the creative process! I have been creating up an absolute storm lately! Class samples, Scrapware Design Team pieces AND Make and Take samples I will be teaching FREE at the upcoming Sydney Papercraft Festival. Just all a bit exciting hey!
This is a piece I finished last night whilst creating along with my beautiful creative friends at Scraptivate. I have to admit, I am a tad happy with this one! I will be teaching this piece in a couple of weeks at the store .... click here for more details of the class. The image in the centre is actually a Sheer Heaven transfer. Probably the easiest image transfer I have tried and definitely the one that has the most success for me. The piece is constructed on a 6x6 Scrapware Memory Box, adorned with inchie tiles around the frame and a thrinchie inside.
I did something a little new on this piece ... I coloured my German Scrap Border with Smooch ink. Yep, Smooch recently came to Scraptivate, and once again, I fell in love. It tends to happen a lot with me and product, lol! I have used the Tiny Roman Border and the Brocade Sheet in white and applied the Molasses Smooch ink directly to the German Scrap. In my opinion the Smooch is a little like a paint, but whatever the case, it adheres beautifully to the German Scrap! I have simply added some Gold Leaf Rub n Buff on top and voila ... beautifully transformed German Scrap perfect for this piece.
Hopefully you might be able to make it to the class (and I can show you all my Smooches!!!) ...
I created this piece the other day also .... using some Scrapware chipboard on a 4x4 canvas.
Thats the little Tiny Roman Border in German Scrap again, this time painted with Unbleached Titanium (Jo Sonja) and the Gold Leaf Rub n Buff applied. See what different looks you can get out of this one thing. Ahhh .... isn't German Scrap just such a wonderful thing. I couldn't be without it!
The alphabet image on this piece is actually some new Rub Ons by 7 Gypsies .... I think they were called "Steampunk" from memory. As I had already painted and done a few things to the background, the rub ons wouldn't adhere, so I have rubbed them on to tissue paper and using mod podge (another fave product!) I have adhered them to the canvas. I like the effect ....
I am working on a few other things for the Scrapware DT ... I will share these next week when they go up on the Scrapware blog ....
Actually I have lots more to share, but it's getting late, so I shall keep you hanging for now!
Have a fab week all!
