Two posts in two days, cool huh?
So today I have this piece to share with you.
The frame for this piece is a new product from Scrapware - the Open Shadow Box (available soon!). The shadow box has no back, which is completely awesome in my opinion. For this one I have simply put a piece of clear acetate at the back, to adhere my inner panel too ... giving it the effect of "floating" within the frame.
The inner piece is actually a piece of calico, covered with Golden Fibre Paste (a product I adore) which gives it a fibrous bumby texture which can then be coloured once dry. I have simply used glimmer mists and walnut ink spray to colour mine. I then ran the piece through my sewing machine, stitching pieces of torn calico and panels of left over pieces to the main piece. The chipboard heart and keyholes are by Scrapware.
The text affect on the frame is actually a new product by 7 Gypsies ... printed tissue paper. This is possibly my favourite product released in quite a while, certainly my fave product by 7 Gypsies in a long time! Well done guys, you hit the right note with this one!
Let me know what you think .... and if perhaps you would be interested in doing this as a class?
Take care of yourselves
