Ok ... finally a moment or two to share with you all what I have been up to creatively!
One of my favourite products released by SCRAPWARE recently was the House Shadow Box. I adore it. I love to use the whole House theme in my artwork, and I love birdhouses - so, how could I not combine the two? I took this project one step further though and turned the Shadow Box piece into an Altered Book Cover ....

I used an extra front and back piece and sandwhiched burlap in between, with a couple of pieces of chipboard cut to form a spine. Ran it all through my sewing machine (the favourite of my art room tools!) and voila ....

The new Scrapware little birdhouses were the perfect thing for inside the front of the Shadow Box. The whole thing is painted using the Adirondack Paint Dabbers (Lettuce is my favourite colour at the moment!).
This piece will form the cover for my next series of Art Journal page classes. I taught this class today to an awesome group of girls. I can't wait to teach the class again this Saturday to an equally awesome bunch. Bring a sewing machine ladies if you have one, there is lots of sewing and fiddly bits in this project!
Of got lots more to share, but going to make you wait till tommorrow night!
xx
